“Greendex”

August 16th, 2010

National Georgraphic’s explanation of what Greendex is: “National Geographic has partnered with GlobeScan to develop an international research approach to measure and monitor consumer progress towards environmentally sustainable consumption. The key objectives of this unprecedented consumer tracking survey are to provide regular quantitative measures of consumer behavior and to promote sustainable consumption.”

As you’ll see in the following link, the U.S. ranks last on the list: http://environment.nationalgeographic.com/environment/greendex/

Come on U.S., let’s improve those rankings so we actually have a natural environment that we can share with future generations! There’s no coincidence that this past July was one of the hottest on record in New York.
